Mou is a free (while in beta) Markdown editor for Macs that, even though it’s in beta, is still my favorite. Today it released an update (0.71) that added some nice features. From the release note:

  • Extra syntax support - Strikethrough, Fenced Code Blocks, Tables.
  • Auto indent tabs and spaces.
  • Auto fill/delete List and Blockquote marks when hit “Return” key.
  • Lion’s native Versions, Auto Save, and Resume support.
  • When you have content selected and then press (, [ or “, it can now wrap selection automatically.

Take a look at the earlier release notes for more features. Mou is already great, & it really does just keep getting better. Now, if the developer would just include a key command for inserting ordered lists…
